| Here is a list of some building inspectors in the Rossland area. You can expect a building inspector to take 4 or 5 hours going through your new home, and cost up to $500. If they find a large defect, you may be able to cancel the contract, however in most cases, they will find a multitude of small issues, which although not deal-breakers in themselves, are good to know about, as you can plan to fix things up as time goes on and you aren’t surprised by anything after the fact. I am not getting payment of any kind to list these inspectors, and am not recommending anyone over anyone else, but I do strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a resale home makes a building inspection a subject on their contract.
